As part of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), the group HearTrío Ensamble joins the celebrations of the “German genius” with a couple of concerts called Beethoven’s Trios, which will take place on Thursday 3 and December 10, at the Blas Galindo Auditorium of the National Arts Center (Cenart).
The hearing Trìo Ensamble is made up of Sebastián Espinosa, piano; Alejandra Cortés, violin; and Diego Cifuentes, cello, who since their inception have studied classical compositions such as the trios of Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms, along with Latin American works such as those of Piazzolla, Ponce, Sánchez-Gutiérrez and Ortiz.
His interest and commitment to disseminate both repertoires has earned this ensemble awards for Best Performance of Mexican Music in the 2013 National Chamber Music Competition of the Superior School of Music and in the 2014 Ollin Yoliztli National Chamber Music Competition.
Beethoven trios. 250 Anniversary consists of two programs: on Thursday, December 3, the works Trio in B flat major, Op.11, Gassenhauer, I. Allegro con brio, II. Adagio, III. Thema: Pria ch´ío l´impegnio, Allegretto; as well as the Trio in B flat major, Op. 97, Archduke, I. Allegro moderato, II. Scherzo, III. Andante cantabile, ma però con moto – Poco più adagio y IV. Allegro moderato.
On Thursday, December 10, they will perform Trio no. 3 in C minor, Op. 1, I. Allegro con brio, II. Andante cantabile with variazioni, III. Menuetto and IV. Finale. Prestissimo; in addition to Trio no. 4, Op. 90, Dumky, I. Lento maestoso – Allegro quasi doppio movement, II. Little adage – Vivace non troppo – Vivace, III. Andante – Vivace non troppo – Allegretto, IV. Andante moderato – Allegretto scherzando – Moderato, V. Allegro and VI. Lento maestoso – Vivace.
The hearing Trìo Ensamble has been presented in venues such as the Carlos Chávez of the UNAM or the “Esperanza Iris” City Theater, as well as in public squares and schools with the purpose of bringing the classical repertoire to different audiences. Admission is priced at $ 120 and is available through Ticketmaster and at the Cenart box office.
As a health measure in the National Center for the Arts, only 30 percent of the capacity of the scenic spaces will be occupied.
Although many events were postponed, in cities like Bonn or Vienna the 250th anniversary of the composer was celebrated all year round.
