The National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) announced this Thursday that it issued a call to provide support to students of the Middle Superior and Superior levels for the payment of internet services at home and continue their studies online.
The support will be granted to students who do not have access to the internet service at home.
In total, 6,350 extraordinary support will be delivered and each one will have an amount of 400 pesos per month. The incentive will last for five months of the 2021-1 school period, according to the IPN academic calendar.
What are the requirements to get help from the IPN?
-Being enrolled in an academic program of the IPN in the schooled modality.
-Request the stimulus through the page www.sibec.ipn.mx.
-Respond to the socioeconomic study that is provided on the same website.
-And provide some personal documents.
The registration and submission of documents will be carried out through the aforementioned website, from November 20 to 27, 2020, the evaluation of applications will take place from November 27 to December 16 and the publication of the results will be carried out December 18. While the bank account registration in SIBec will take place from December 18 to 27 of this year.
Educational authorities of the IPN will integrate a selection commission, which will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating and selecting the applications that meet the requirements indicated in the call, the IPN said.
« At this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, institutional scholarships are an economic support of vital importance for academic excellence, ensuring the conditions for the continuity and success of studies, in addition to reducing school dropouts, » he said in a the general director of the IPN, Mario Alberto Rodríguez Casas, announced.
